Eagan Teams Press On With Spring Schedule

Wildcats compete on Thursday after mass postponements wipe out nearly all of Wednesday's contests.

Thursday was far from an ideal day for competition, yet these days Eagan teams will take what they can get after Wednesday's snowfall wiped out nearly all of the games scheduled for that day.

Baseball: Lakeville North 18, Wildcats 3

The Eagan baseball team was the lone Wildcats squad to get its game in on Wednesday, yet visiting Lakeville North made it a decidedly unpleasant experience by defeating the hosts by a score of 18-3 in five innings.

Individual results were not available. The Wildcats are scheduled to take on Blake on Saturday at Portage Park in Grand Rapids.

Boys Golf: Eagan, Drenttel, Take First In Conference Meet

Jordy Drenttel's card of 78 earned him individual medalist honors and paced the Eagan boys golf team to a first-place finish in its South Suburban Conference meet at Emerald Greens Golf Course on Thursday with a score of 348.

The Wildcats are scheduled to travel to Rochester's Eastwood Golf Course next Wednesday.

Boys Tennis: Eagan 5, Bloomington Jefferson 2

The Eagan boys tennis team defeated Bloomington Jefferson, 5-2, on Thursday in a South Suburban matchup. Individual results were not available.

Results were not available for Eagan's track and field teams scheduled competitions at Rosemount on Thursday.
