Andrew had a fumble recovery in last week’s loss to Lakeville South and will play a key role in slowing down the Wildcat passing game.

-- Michael Busch (Eagan – running back)

As the team’s primary back, Michael had 16 carries for 45 yards and one score in last week’s loss to Wayzata, and caught a couple of passes for 4 yards. However, he did a pretty good job of picking up blitzes and standing up to the bigger defensive players, losing his helmet in the process at least twice.

-- Mitch Knutson (Eagan – linebacker)

Mitch had his second straight good game of the season last week against Wayzata. Although his tackle total was down from week one, the senior did a good job of forcing Trojan runners to the inside.

LIGHTNING WINS IF...

Defensively they can show a variety of looks and effectively blitz the Eagan quarterback. On offense, Eastview needs to establish a running game to open things up for Reger to get the ball downfield. The Lightning also need to capitalize on their chances. Eastview had the ball inside the Lakeville South 5 early last week, but fumbled it away.

WILDCATS WIN IF...

They are more consistent on both sides of the ball. Although they played better in week two against a fast Wayzata team than week one against Lakeville South, the Wildcats still had too many mental mistakes. Its offensive line must continue its improvement of picking up blitzes to give quarterback Drew Bauer more time to get the ball downfield.
