Eastview (6-0 overall, 2-0 conference) entered the week in a tie for the South Suburban Conference lead with Lakeville North, the team that defeated Eagan last Thursday, and looks to remain unblemished. The Lightning, Panthers and Wildcats are all ranked in the top-10 of the Class AA poll. Eagan (5-1, 1-1) needs a win to keep pace in the lead pack of SSC play.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

For Eagan, Marissa Ganske and Roselyn Anderson each had three goals apiece entering the week, with Kaleigh Solheim recording three points and two assists. Goalkeeper Kristen Knutson stopped 25 of 27 shots through her first six games.

For Eastview, Paris Sanders had seven goals through her first six games, followed by Leah Nesheim and Taryn MacMillan with five goals apiece heading into this week. Goalie Anhthu Huynh was 36-for-40 on saves though Sept. 10.

LIGHTNING WIN IF…

High-powered offense is able to solve Eagan defense and Knutson in goal. The Lightning entered the week with the best “goals for” average at 4.5 per game, the Wildcats had the best “goals against” average at 0.7 per game.

WILDCATS WIN IF...

They are able to put the defensive clamps on Eastview on their home field. A shutout (Eagan had four in their first six games) would improve the odds.
