Midweek Recaps for Eagan Teams

The girls hockey team remains undeated and the absence of snow postpones Nordic ski meet.

Boys basketball: The boys basketball team lost at home to Wayzata with a final score of the Trojans 57 to Eagan’s 53 on Dec. 6. Center Nick Sabatke was the top scorer with 18 for the Wildcats. The team is winless so far this season and the next game is on Friday, Dec. 9 against Fridley in North St. Paul.


Girls Hockey: The team remains undefeated with its sixth win coming after going on the road to defeat Prior Lake on Dec. 6 with a final score 4-2. The Wildcats scored one goal in the first period and Megan Wolfe had a hat trick in the third period for the final three goals. The next game is against Lakeville South on Sat. Dec. 10. 


Dance Team: The dance team took first place in the jazz division at the South Suburban Conference meet in Rosemount on Dec. 6. The next meet is at Apple Valley High School on Monday, Dec. 12 and the conference championships will be on Dec. 17 at Eagan High School.

Nordic skiing: Sonja Hedblom, a junior, is currently ranked fourth in Nordic skiing. The first race was scheduled for today but due to a lack of early season snow it’s been postponed to January. The next race is set for Dec. 14
