Check back each Tuesday for updates from a selection of Eagan High School sports teams.

Boys Basketball: The Wildcats improved to 11-8 on the season after coming away with two wins and a loss during last week's match-ups. The boys beat Bloomington Kennedy 75-60 on Jan. 31, despite being outscored 40-32 in the second half of the game. On Feb. 3, Eagan High School lost 52-49 to Eastview, with Drew Bauer and Eric Woodcock scoring 12 and 10 points, respectively. The boys' fortunes improved on Monday, when they dismantled Bloomington Jefferson 61-29. Nick Sabatke led the boys in that game with 17 points.

Girls Basketball: The Eagan girls basketball fought back to win by one point in an edge-of-your-seat game against Bloomington Kennedy on Jan. 31. Jess Hart and Sammie Delzotto tag-teamed Bloomington, scoring 23 and 22 points, respectively. But the Wildcats slumped to 7-14 on the season after losing by 23 points to Eastview last Friday. The team suffered another disappointing loss to Bloomington Jefferson on Monday. The scored of that game was 63-48. Eagan plays Burnsville on Friday.

Boys Hockey: The boys hockey team continued a long winning streak last week with wins over Hill-Murray, Apple Valley and Eastview. Will Merchant, Zach Glienke, Eli May and Cullen Willox all contributed a goal apiece to Eagan's 4-2 victory over Hill-Murray. Glienke and Connor McGovern both scored two in the team's 9-2 blowout against Apple Valley last Thursday. With the third win of the week on Saturday, the team is now at a 20-2 record.
