The seventh-ranked Eagan girls soccer team came up on the short end of the scoreboard for the first time this autumn as South Suburban Conference rival Lakeville South topped their hosts, 1-0, last Thursday.

Goaltender Kristen Knutson made five saves on six shots, but the Wildcats could not muster up a goal of their own in the defeat that dropped the squad to 5-1 on the season.

Back-to-back shutouts late last week boosted the seventh-ranked Eagan boys soccer team to 4-1-1 on the year as the Wildcats blanked Lakeville South (5-0) and Owatonna (3-0) on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
AJ Albers scored three goals over the two games and now leads Eagan with nine goals this season.
Volleyball
The Eagan volleyball team finished third in the Shakopee Tournament on Saturday, going 3-1 with wins over Rochester Mayo, Anoka and Jackson County Central to improve to 6-1 on the season. Individual statistics were not available.
Girls Swimming and Diving
With 434 points, the Eagan girls swimming and diving team won the Packer Invitational in South St. Paul on Saturday. Individual statistics were not available.
