Eighth-ranked Eagan volleyball team defeats No. 2-ranked Jaguars on Tuesday.

The Eagan volleyball team made its play to move up the top-10 poll with a big win at home to highlight the mid-week schedule.

Not only winning, but sweeping, No. 2-ranked Bloomington Jefferson, on Tuesday, the eighth-ranked Eagan volleyball team remained in a tie with No. 1 Lakeville North atop the South Suburban Conference standings.

Individual statistics were not made available. The Wildcats won 25-21, 25-21, 25-18 to improve to 9-1 overall and 4-0 in the circuit.

The Eagan boys soccer team headed into the second half of the week with a 7-2-2 overall record following a 3-3 tie against Jefferson on Tuesday. Individual statistics were not made available.

Girls Soccer

A 5-0 shutout of visiting Jefferson on Tuesday boosted the Eagan girls soccer team to 10-1 overall this autumn.

Goalkeeper Kristen Knutson made four saves for her ninth shutout of the season, while Sarah Lochner scored twice as Ellie Schroer, Katie Peterson, Rachel Wall added a goal apiece.

The Eagan girls swimming and diving team defeated Jefferson, 96-81, on Tuesday. Individual statistics were not made available.
