Dangerous Heat, Air Quality Expected in Eagan

Air-pollution health advisory in effect noon–midnight Tuesday; heat advisory through Thursday evening.

 

This information won't surprise you, but it could save you heat-related health trouble today and Thursday: Eagan and the Twin Cities are under renewed advisories for heat and bad air quality.

Monday's weather hit a record 99 degrees and Tuesday also topped out at 90+ degrees. The worst news: Today and tomorrow look like more of the same.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency on Tuesday extended its air-pollution health advisory and the National Weather Service extended its heat advisory to cover the next three days—expiring, for now, at 10 p.m. Thursday.

Temperatures in the low- to mid-90s will combine with dewpoints in the low 70s for heat index readings around 105.
