Eagan Market Fest Returns on June 12

Check out the Market Fest calendar for special promotions and events throughout the summer.

A sure sign of summer is about to reopen in Eagan; on Wednesday, June 12, Eagan Market Fest will return to Eagan's Central Park Festival grounds.

Market Fest will kick off its opening evening at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1501 Central Parkway in Eagan. As part of the opening day festivities, visitors at Market Fest can participate in a Free Shopping Bag Giveaway courtesy of Health Partners. Participants who bicycle to Market Fest will also receive a free $5 produce voucher to use at the market.

Market Fest will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Wednesday, beginning on June 12 and ending on Sept. 25. The city will hold several promotional events and theme nights over the course of the summer. Below is a list of special events:

  • June 12, 19, 26 – Bike to the Market for Free Produce
    Bike to the market in June and receive a $5 free produce voucher to use at the market. To receive a voucher, attendees must ride their bicycle to the market, check in at the front gate with your bike and sign in.   Vouchers will be given while supplies last.   
  • Food Drive Each Week
    The Eagan Market Fest is collaborating with the Eagan & Lakeville Resource Center to host a food drive each week at the market.  “Market vendors are encouraged to donate unsold products, especially fresh produce, at the end of the evening that will go to the Eagan & Lakeville Resource Center. Food donations may be dropped off on market days from 4-8 p.m.  
  • June 19 – Going Green Carnival
    Children and families will learn about reducing, recycling and reusing through interactive games, science experiments and visiting with more than 15 Going Green vendor booths. Eco-friendly puppet show, theater skit, and music by the Roe Family Singers are also scheduled. All Going Green Carnival activities are free. The Going Green Carnival is being held in collaboration with the Eagan & Lakeville Resource Center.  
  • July 10 – Family Night
    Kids of all ages from preschool and up can enjoy a free inflatable jumper, puppet shows, face painting, family games, making a kid’s art project and kid friendly entertainment by McNally Smith College of Music Charlie Brown Review (4-5 p.m.), Choo Choo Bob Live Show (5:30-6:30 p.m.) and Tricia & The Toonies (7–8 p.m.). Children and teens can also register for the Dakota County Library’s summer reading program at the event. The first 150 kids attending will receive a free surprise item at the entrance. 
  • July 24 – Classic Car Show & Oldie’s Music Night
    Back again, this market favorite will showcase classic cars with attendees voting on their favorites. Elvis impersonators Steve and Tommy Marcio perform at from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and The Rockin’ Hollywoods perform live from 5:30-8 pm. Classic car owners may register their car for free by calling Eagan Parks & Recreation at (651) 675-5500. The first 60 pre-registered cars will receive a pair of fuzzy dice.  
  • July 30 – Latino Celebration
    Enjoy the sounds of Ticket to Brasil, K-Libre 24, folklorico dance demonstrations, free salsa dance lessons and more, all emceed by Jazz 88.5 radio host Graciela Mendez. Dance to the beats of Salsa, Bossa Nova, Samba, Brazilian Jazz, Merengue and Cumbia  
  • August 14 – Health & Wellness Night
    Visit with local health organization booths, take part in free community health screenings and enjoy music by the Andrew Walesch Big Band.
