As afternoon temps soared into the 90s in the southeast metro, hundreds found some relief on the lazy river, among the waterslides, or underneath an umbrella at waterpark in Eagan.

Cascade Bay's attendance count stood at 1,400 at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, according to waterpark officials. The maximum capacity of the park is 2,000. This heat wave isn't supposed to break anytime soon; the National Weather Service is predicting that temperatures will remain in the low 90s through the weekend, with heat indices even higher.
