Local Girl Looking for Mentor, Wants to Learn to Skate

Kids 'n Kinship seeks volunteer mentors who can make a difference in the lives of local children.

Interests: Emma enjoys arts and crafts, soccer, softball, cooking and baking, bike riding, reading, swimming, and anything animal-related.

Personality/Characteristics: She's a friendly, outgoing girly-girl who likes sports and animals. She lives with her mom and three siblings.

Goals/Dreams: She would love to learn to rollerskate and ice-skate. She can't wait to have a mentor of her own because her older brother has had a mentor for more than two years.

For More Information: This child is one of 57 children currently waiting for a mentor through Kids ‘n Kinship, a private non-profit serving Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount in Dakota County for 39 years. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, you're invited to attend an information session on Aug. 18, 6-6:45 p.m. at the Galaxie Library in Apple Valley. Mentors can volunteer as individuals, couples, or families for weekly fun and enriching activities at home or in the community on their own schedules.
