'Forever Wild,' Halloween Craft Show, and Scholarship Party

Weekend events in Eagan include an open house at BFIT Challenge Studio and and a card game battle at Wescott Library.

Magic the Gathering

It's a card game battle between wizards and other magical creatures, according to information on the Dakota County Library website. The event is for youth ages 12-18 years. Registration is required. Time: Friday, Oct. 4 at 3:30 p.m. in the Wescott Library Meeting Room. 

Forever Wild Family Friday

Friday's event is titled "The Story of Gypsy Music with The Talking Strings" and is about the history and evolution of gypsy music. Romany musicians will play a variety of musical instruments. Time: Friday, Oct. 4, 7 p.m. at the Lebanon Hills Regional Park Visitor Center, 860 Cliff Road in Eagan. 

Eagan High School Homecoming

The Eagan High School football team will play Jefferson at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.

The Homecoming dance is a semi-formal event from 8-11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5. Cost: $10 at the door.

BFIT Challenge Studio 

This grand opening event will include prizes, tours, free classes and more. Time: Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The studio is located at 4178 Pilot Knob Road in Eagan.

Eagan Halloween Craft and Gift Show

Minnesota artists and vendors will have arts, crafts, gifts and services for purchase at the event. Time: Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be in the Eagan Community Center Gym, 1501 Central Parkway.

Matt Thuente Memorial Scholarship Party

The second annual event will raise scholarship money for Eagan High School seniors. Last year's event raised over $12,000. Cost $20 per person. Time: Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. It will be located in Eagan at Al Baker's Restaurant, 3434 Washington Drive.
