Holidazzle's Swan Song in Full Swing

The downtown parade of lights is in its final year, but is destined to be replaced with a new celebration. It's on tap this weekend, as well as plenty of other events around the Twin Cities metro.

It’s the final year for Captain Hook and Peter Pan; one last roll for those spinning toy soldiers; and an “away we go” for Santa and his sleigh.

This is the final season for the famous Holidazzle Parade in downtown Minneapolis.

While it’s become a holiday tradition for so many families during its run along Nicollet Avenue, the Minneapolis Downtown Business Council said a new festival is needed as it “reimages” the downtown feel during the holidays.

The parade will roll out at 6:30 p.m. sharp between 12th and 4th Streets along Nicollet. Target is the sponsor for this year’s finale, which just has one more weekend left to go.

For more information, visit Holidazzle’s website, which has information for ”warm” seating, and other ideas for “doing the holidays downtown.”
