Eagan's Annual Winter Parking Rules Begins
Snow rules begin today and run through April 15.
The City of Eagan began its winter parking rules for snow removal Monday. On even days of the month, drivers need to park on the side of the street with even addresses from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. On odd days of the month drivers must park on the odd sides of the street from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. With the snow removal schedule in place, it allows plows to push snow to the curb without cars blocking the way. Normally, parking is allowed anywhere on Eagan streets overnight from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. "We feel [setting the ordinance] this way is striking a balance," Tim Plath, the City of Eagan's transportation and operations engineer, said.
