Tickets on Sale for Taste of Eagan Fundraiser

The fundraising event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Eagan Community Center.

Enjoy fine wines, craft beers and a diversity of food at the 12th annual Taste of Eagan fundraiser for the Eagan Foundation. The fundraising event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 18 at the Eagan Community Center. Tickets are $45 in advance or $55 if purchased after April 11. The event will include a wine tasting and silent auction. Proceeds will benefit the Eagan Foundation, a nonprofit that provides scholarships to graduating Eagan High School student. Kids 'n Kinship Skating Fundraiser Scheduled on Sunday

The event runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on March 17 at the Burnsville Ice Center.

Head out onto the ice and support a local nonprofit organization at the same time as part of a family-friendly Kids 'n Kinship fundraiser at the Burnsville Ice Center on Sunday, March 17. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Rink #2 at the ice center. The cost of the event is $10 per person or $30 per group of four. Cookies and hot cocoa will be included as part of the event. Kids 'n Kinship has been matching children living in Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount with adult mentors for over 40 years. VIDEO: Talented Performers Take the Stage at Eagan Fundraiser

More than 20 acts performed at the first-ever "Eagan Has Talent" fundraiser at the Eagan High School on Saturday.

A total of 23 acts, including guitarists, a women's choir, a father/daughter comedy and magic duo and others performed as part of the talent show. The performers all auditioned in October to participate in the event, which was a joint fundraiser for the Eagan Foundation and the Eagan High School. Many of the performers were Eagan High School students. Tickets to the show cost $10 for adults and $7 for students. To see …

Eagan Foundation Fundraiser Scheduled at Buffalo Wild Wings

The Eagan Foundation gives scholarships to local students and issues community grants to area organizations.

From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24 and Wednesday, Sept. 26, the restaurant will donate 10 percent of its proceeds to the Eagan Foundation, which gives scholarships to local students and issues community grants to local organizations.  Buffalo Wild Wings is located at 1280 Promenade Place in Eagan.

Moved by Colorado Shooting, Eagan Police Explorers Raise $5,800 for Victims

The Police Explorers were attending a national conference in Fort Collins, Colo., when news of the shooting broke.

"I remember going to breakfast that morning and looking at the TV, and I saw the news about the shooting that happened," said Marshall, a 17-year-old Eagan resident. "I was thinking about the victims and the family, and I think we all just wanted to help them." Over the next 24 hours, Marshall and his fellow Police Explorers—plus two Eagan police officers acting as liaisons for the group—did exactly that. …

The annual ProAct Golf Classic fundraiser returns to the Hastings Country Club on Monday, August 13. Casper's Owners Host Fundraiser to Thank Eagan Fire Department

The restaurant will host a fundraiser for the Eagan Fire Department on Sunday.

After months of rebuilding following a disastrous fire, Casper’s Cherokee of Eagan will reopen its doors this Sunday to host a fundraiser for the Eagan Fire Department. The event will provide an opportunity for community members to give back to Eagan’s volunteer firefighters and to get a first look at the newly renovated restaurant. “It’s just a small way to say thank you,” said Rick Casper, owner of Casper’s. While portions of the restaurant—including an outdoor deck—were severely damaged when a fire swept the building last October, the fire department responded in time to save the building. PHOTOS: Eagan Resource Center Hosts Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Hundreds flocked to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church on Thursday to take part in the Eagan Resource Center's third annual Empty Bowls fundraiser.

The delicious smell of donated soups and the sounds of good conversation wafted through Mount Calvary Lutheran Church on Thursday night, as the Eagan Resource Center held its third annual Empty Bowls fundraiser. Local artists crafted and donated more than 800 unique clay and ceramic bowls to the event. For a suggested $20 donation, participants at the fundraiser chose a bowl, and then filled it with one of a handful of soups donated by local restaurants. Participating restaurants included: Eagan’s Doolittles Woodfire Grill, Jensen’s Supper Club, Green Mill Restaurant and Bar, Granite City Food & Brewery, Qdoba Mexican Grill and Houlihan’s Restaurant, as well as Jensen’s Café in Burnsville and Lucky’s 13 Pub in Mendota Heights. This was our first year attending this event (which we heard about via the Eagan Patch the night before) and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Our 3 year old daughter was excited to pick out her own bowl to keep. All of the volunteers were very friendly - we can't wait for next year!   more ›
