Follow Eagan Patch on Twitter | Like us on Facebook | Sign up for our daily newsletter On Friday morning, Brandon Marshall and a handful of other Eagan Police Explorers were preparing for the last day of a national conference in Fort Collins, Colo. when they heard the news about the movie theater shooting in Aurora—only 60 miles away. The restaurant will host a fundraiser for the Eagan Fire Department on Sunday.
After months of rebuilding following a disastrous fire, Casper’s Cherokee of Eagan will reopen its doors this Sunday to host a fundraiser for the Eagan Fire Department. The event will provide an opportunity for community members to give back to Eagan’s volunteer firefighters and to get a first look at the newly renovated restaurant. “It’s just a small way to say thank you,” said Rick Casper, owner of Casper’s. While portions of the restaurant—including an outdoor deck—were severely damaged when a fire swept the building last October, the fire department responded in time to save the building. The department’s actions will be immortalized on Casper’s new menu. Upon reopening, Casper’s will offer a new burger, called the “Eagan’s Firehouse …
