The recreation facility, Good Times Park, will feature a basketball court, inflatable games, artificial turf and other amenities, according to owner Bonnie O'Meara.

Follow Eagan Patch on Twitter | Like us on Facebook | Sign up for our daily newsletter | Blog for us Local mom Bonnie O'Meara knows firsthand how difficult it can be to find budget-friendly activities that entertain the whole family. That challenge served as the impetus behind O'Meara's new business, "Good Times Park", which is set to open in Eagan later this spring. Located in a 25,000-square-foot space at 3265 Northwood Cir., the business will feature an expansive indoor playground designed for children 12 years old or younger, O'Meara said. I am excited to see what it is all about. We frequent the community center/blast but I have a child at only 2 yrs old so she gets scared in the blast and has nothing to do while her brother runs around in the high tunnels. To me this sounds like it will be much more elaborate and will have things for all ages. Which to me will be worth $16. Can't wait for u to open. I wish it was tomorrow.   more ›

Hardee's Targets Eagan As Part of Substantial Metro Expansion

The fast food chain plans to open 59 locations in the next five years, according to City Pages.

When Hardee's announced plans earlier this month to build as many as 59 new locations around the Twin Cities in the next five years, there was still a lot of mystery over where those restaurants would be built. That question appears to have been answered, as City Pages secured a map of planned homes for the burger joints. Local carnivores can breathe a sigh of relief; one of the sites Hardees is targeting for a new location is along Yankee Doodle Road in Eagan. Jim Sullivan, head of franchise development with CKE Restaurants, told City Pages the tentative locations—59 in total—all have high traffic counts, populations in the 40,000 range, good site visibility and drive-thru access. iBeach Opens in Eagan

iBeach Tan is now open at 1654 Diffley Road, Suite 108. Members can tan there 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Danielle Denny had always wanted to have her own business. She also enjoys tanning. So when she learned that an iBeach Tan franchise was available in Eagan, it seemed like a great fit. She took over. The Eagan iBeach Tan is located on Diffley Road near Interstate 35E. It opened in July, which Denny admits isn’t an ideal time to open a tanning salon. However, starting during a slower time helped her get settled and prepare for the upcoming busy season, she said. Denny, a mom who lives in St. Paul Park and attended Burnsville High School, studied environmental science at the University of Minnesota. She likes science, and that natural scientific interest led her to study the science behind tanning and tanning equipment. As a businesswoman, …
