Winners Declared in Caponi Art Park Photography Contest

Photographers of all ages and skill levels came to Caponi Art Park to capture images of the Art Park during the 20th anniversary season. More than 40 adults and youth from all over the Twin Cities metro and as far as southwest Minnesota submitted their photographs to the fifth annual Caponi Art Park Photography Contest. The images showcased Caponi Art Park from May through October 2012. Did Nicholas David make the cut? What about Trevin Hunte or Amanda Brown? Patch will have results from NBC's Tuesday episode of the televised singing competition.

Nicholas David joins Trevin Hunte from Team Cee Lo and Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope from Team Blake in the Top 4. Melanie Martinez, of Team Adam, was the first eliminated tonight from The Voice. Martinez' teammate Amanda Brown was also cut from the show on Tuesday night. On Monday, each contestant gave a series of two performances on the stage, and received feedback—and in some cases—criticism from the likes of celebrity coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney duked it out in Denver, CO.

Barack Obama and Mitt Romney duked it out tonight in their first presidential debate in Denver, Colorado. Patch live-blogged the debate, which featured the candidates touching on domestic issues like health care, PBS funding, and America's energy sources. A couple of points. 1) Almost every incumbent President has lost the first debate since they have been televised, the only exception was Bill Clinton. 2) I remember in 2008 watching folks talk about how Obama lost debates to Hillary Clinton and how he lost debates to John McCain and yet he was the guy who took the oath of office at the end. PHOTOS: Eagan Dance Teams at State Tournament

The Eagan Jazz and High Kick dance teams competed in the state tournament at Target Center over the weekend.

The Wildcats were one of 47 teams competing at the state dance tournament, which took place on Friday and Saturday at the Target Center in Minneapolis. Although Eagan High School wasn't among the top finishers at the state competition this weekend, the team placed third in High Kick and second in Jazz at the sections tournament earlier this year. According to results released by the Minnesota State High School League, the Trojet Dance Team of Wayzata won its fifth Class AAA title at the Jazz  competition on Friday, with Maple Grove taking second place and Eastview taking third. Eastview placed first in the High Kick category, trailed by Eden Prairie and Brainerd. The state High Kick competition took place on Saturday, Feb. 18. To see a …
