Eagan Foundation Scholarship Application Deadline Coming Up

Graduating seniors who want to be considered for a scholarship must turn in an application by 6 p.m. on Feb. 28.

The foundation will award more than 100 scholarship worth more than $95,000 in 2013 to eligible seniors during a ceremony later this spring. But to be considered for a scholarship, students must apply by 6 p.m. on Feb. 28. Scholarships are awarded based on criteria determined by the scholarship donor such as academic merit, financial need, and other requirements. Scholarships range in value from $500 to $2,500, and money for the scholarships is donated by a wide spectrum of local businesses, …

Eastview Community Foundation Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

This year, the organization is offering 110 scholarships worth more than $70,000 to graduating seniors in the Eastview attendance area.

Thanks to the generous support of Eastview community members, businesses in the Eastview community, booster clubs, and EVCF fundraising events, the Eastview Community Foundation (EVCF) is pleased to offer over 110 scholarships which equal over $70,000 for graduation seniors in the Eastview attendance area! The online application process opened to students on Friday, February 1 and will close on Sunday, March 3. Eagan Foundation Gives Scholarships to 93 Eagan Students

The organization handed out roughly $74,000 in scholarships this year—a 21-year high for the group.

The Eagan Foundation will honor 93 graduating high school students from Eagan, with $74,100 in scholarships—the largest annual number and amount awarded in the 21-year history of the Eagan Foundation. This year’s awards also represent another milestone for the Eagan Foundation—it surpassed 1,000 total scholarships awarded totaling $885,000 to area students, thanks to the generous contributions from many local businesses, school organizations, family foundations and nonprofits. I am well aware of the Sibley Dollars for Scholars program. My oldest son received an award 4 years ago and my daughter will be receiving one later this month. However, the Eagan Foundation specifically says "live within the City of Eagan" as thier first qualification. This should qualify many Sibley students for a possible award (provided they apply). Senior-year students attending Eagan high schools or residing in Eagan may now apply for a scholarship through the Eagan Foundation’s 2012 Scholarship Program. A total of 89 scholarships are available totaling $71,850—17 more and $12,000 over last year’s offerings. Additionally, this year’s application process will be paperless, with all students submitting their profiles online. Applications will be accepted beginning Feb. 1 through 6 p.m. on February 29.
