Charges Filed Against Bloomington Man Accused of Beating Dog with Baseball Bat

Edward Michael Scullion Jr. of Bloomington has been charged with bludgeoning his dog on the head in September in a park on the Eagan-Burnsville border.

Follow Eagan Patch on Twitter | Like us on Facebook | Sign up for our daily newsletter| Blog for us A Bloomington man who was arrested in September on suspicion of bludgeoning a dog with a baseball bat now faces formal criminal charges.   Edward Michael Scullion Jr., 27, is charged in Dakota County with two gross misdemeanors: overworking, mistreating or torturing animals and overworking or mistreating animals to further an act of cruelty. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $3,000 fine. An Eagan police officer was on patrol just after 12:30 a.m. Sept. 27 when he spotted a car parked in the lot at Casperson Landing, beneath the Cedar Avenue bridge on the Eagan-Burnsville border, according to the criminal complaint…

I would hope that he is never able to have another animal as long as he lives. I wish someone would hit him in the head so he would know what it felt like. I hope who ever adopted Tippy treats him like a KING for the rest of his born days, he deserves it.   more ›
