Nicholas David's Parents: Our Son Just Wants to Get His Message Out

David and Jennifer Mrozinski, parents of "The Voice" star Nicholas David, reflect on their son's sudden success.

It was Tuesday afternoon, just hours before their son was expected to appear alongside seven other contestants on NBC's "The Voice" for a special elimination round. Two contestants were going home that night, and no one knew Nicholas' fate. Jennifer admitted that she sometimes gets stomach aches before each episode airs. David, a sales representative at Loffler Companies in Bloomington, said he checks the iTunes sales charts "almost every hour" to see how his son's songs are selling. The charts are a good indicator of success or failure on the show, he believes. The …

Nicholas Mrozinski, who goes by the stage name Nicholas David on NBC's "The Voice", fought his way through a winner-take-all vocal duel against another contestant.

"You look like Jesus, and people like that," Shelton joked, following Mrozinski's Monday performance. Friendly banter aside, the celebrity coaches heaped praise on Mrozinski, who goes by the stage name Nicholas David on the nationally-televised singing competition.
