Senator Carlson Holding Town Hall Meeting in Eagan

The meeting will be co-hosted by State Rep. Sandra Masin in the Eagan city council chambers.

District 51 Sen. Jim Carlson (DFL) will be holding a town hall meeting in Eagan's city council chambers on Wednesday along with District 51A Rep. Sandra Masin (DFL). Carlson and Masin will update their constituents on the the 2013 session before taking questions. The event will run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the city council chambers in Eagan's City Hall.

DFLers to Discuss Budget Deficit at Upcoming Town Hall Meeting

The three local legislators will be joined by House Chief Fiscal Analyst Bill Marx, who will give a short presentation on the state budget.

MN Legislature would have repaid the schools in 2012, but bowed (cowed?) to Government Shutdown Governor Dayton. So the schools still are owed. The 2012 choice to refill the state's "emergency" fund instead of repay the schools is OK, but it is NOT also a legitimate excuse to raise taxes again in 2013. In 2007, MN budget was $16 B. Even though the meeting was billed as a discussion regarding the Voter ID and same-sex marriage amendments, Ritchie spent much of the event talking about the state's electoral procedures, voter verification procedures and the role his office plays during election time. Eagan Legislators Will Host Town Hall Meeting at Wescott Library

All three of Eagan's lawmakers will listen to questions and concerns from constituents at an event on April 12.

Representatives Diane Anderson and Doug Wardlow, plus Eagan Senator Ted Daley, will host a town hall meeting for local residents on from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, at the Wescott Library in Eagan. The lawmakers will give an update of the 2012 legislative session and listen to questions and concerns from area residents in Eagan and Burnsville. “We are honored to represent the people of District 38 at the State Capitol, and we look forward to hearing about the issues that are important to our constituents,” Diane Anderson wrote in a press release. Local Legislators Hold Town Hall Meeting

Eagan residents ask legislators questions regarding health care, jobs, education and taxes.

The three Eagan District 38 legislators held their first joint public Town Hall meeting Monday night at the Wescott Library. Sen. Ted Daley (R), Rep. Doug Wardlow (R-District 38B) and Rep. Diane Anderson (R-District 38A) each gave a brief introduction and were available to answer citizens' questions during the question and answer portion of the meeting. The legislators discussed the $14 trillion in federal debt. Daley said the federal debt is important to know about since over one third of what the state of Minnesota will spend is going to come from the federal budget.
