The goal of the project is to learn how to technology can be used to improve teen driving safety and enhance parental involvement with teens during the learning phase of driving. The university is looking for 20 teen drivers from Eagan who currently have their driver's permit and will receive their provisional driver’s license between Feb. 1 and April 30, 2013. The teens must be age 16 at that time, and should be able to begin the study within one month of their licensure start date. As part of the study, teens will receive …

FIRST Robotics held two metro-wide tournaments during the weekend.
Aspiring engineers from across the Twin Cities metro area came together to compete in two regional high school FIRST Robotics tournaments from March 29-31. Technical difficulties led to a loss in the second round of the tournament semifinals for Eagan High School's FIRST Robotics team. But the team earned the Engineering Inspiration Award at the regional event—which automatically qualifies them for the World Championships at the end of April in St. Louis. Both the 10,000 Lakes Regional Competition and the North Star Regional Competition were held on the University of Minnesota's Minneapolis campus. Star coach Natalie Darwitz says cutting ties with Eagan was one of the toughest decisions she made.
If Lakeville South Activities Director Neil Strader could entice Michael Jordan to coach the boy’s basketball team or recruit Joe Montana to take over the football squad, he would. But that’s close to impossible, isn’t it? Well that’s what most people would think. That’s even what Strader thought.
