MISO Breaks Ground on New Regional Facility in Eagan

The more than 60,000-square-foot building will serve as operations center and regional conference facility.

MISO, or Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator, plans to complete and occupy the building by February, 2014, according to a press release issued by the company. The facility will eventually serve as a conference center and regional operations hub for the company. MISO signed a 12-year lease for the building, which will be built on a 4.83-acre site off Lone Oak Road in Eagan. On Tuesday night, the Eagan City Council unanimously approved a planned development amendment and final platting for the property, clearing the way for construction to begin on the new facility.
