Two-Alarm Fire Strikes Gopher Resources in Eagan

A front end loader inside the company's facility caught fire before 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to Eagan fire officials.

Eagan Fire Chief Mike Scott said a front end loader inside the company's production building caught fire. As the fire grew, it threatened the building itself; when fire crews arrived, the ceiling above the front end loader was also beginning to burn. Firefighters from Eagan Fire Stations Two and Four originally responded to Gopher Resources. Because Gopher Resources is a lead recycling facility, the call was upgraded to a two-alarm fire, which brought in fire crews from Eagan Fire Stations One …
