Aimee Gonzalez, Neighbor

I am the Community Relations Coordinator/Liaison and Web Developer for the Minnesota Center for Obesity, Metabolism and Endocrinology, PA (MNCOME). 

I was born and raised in MN; moved to Miami to attend the University of Miami for college (BA in Political Science/International Relations), spent my last semester of undergrad in Israel, then moved to New York for graduate school at New York University (MA in International Relations/Political Economy). While in New York I was also the first Director of Operations for Rabbis for Human Rights-North America, a Jewish non-profit, during my second year of school.  

I moved back to MN this past summer to return my roots to their native soil. Community participation is part of me, and MN is where I want to contribute my efforts. MNCOME is my family's business, and it is dedicated not just to clinical practice but to collaborating with policy makers and other grassroots organizations on broader community issues, such as healthy living initiatives in school districts. 

I truthfully had not heard of Patch.com until I moved back, so I'll be interested to see how this works!
