Kline is an obstructionist and needs to be kicked to the curb. He has done nothing for the American…Read More people except take our tax dollars for his salary and benefits.
He is a mooch as has to go.
Kline is nothing but a schill for his corporate masters including the Koch brothers and the…Read More for-profit higher education industry which is ripping off students. People are finally realizing that Kline does NOT represent the interests of our citizens.
g schmit, Please back up your ridiculous remarks. These aren't people buying mansions that they…Read More can't afford. How did you pay for your degree. I suspect the GI bill or you got it when tuition was a bargain, if you even have one. In any case you can't do much in life without a degree, and with it jobs are still slim today and not providing starting at salaries that most can easily pay back loans with. Maybe we should allow the userous rates that the banks are current charging consumers that have forced many into bankruptcy. I am trying to be polite, but you make it difficult. As for Rep. Kline the others are right. He is bought and paid for. When I have contacted him on issues he sends a form reply. He only listens to the $$$. He certainly doesn't represent me or my kids. As we start to fill out loan applications for college I hope Kline and Schmid would like to step up and help my kids. Otherwise they should back off and let them have a fair shot at the quickly fading American Dream.
Few of those statements can be considered very cold and hard, because so much of it is subjective,…Read More but I think it is fair to say that the thrust of the left, and Democrats in general are in keeping with the idea that blacks are "poor", and need "help" in the sense of material assistance. Republicans have generally supported a more "fatherly" policy, relying on people's work ethic and ability to accomplish rather than handouts. The former devolves into control because the fortunes of officials doling out aid depend on having lots of "customers". The latter devolves into indifference. These are the stereotypes of the Dems and GOP in this country, and I think there is some truth in both.
Democrats believe that poor people are poor. Republicans deny this fact. Republicans believe that…Read More poor people will have more to eat if we don't give them food stamps. Republicans believe that poor kids will get a better education if we cut funding for their schools. Republicans believe that more poor teens will go to college if we cut their financial aid. Speaking of stereotypes, "relying on people's work ethic and ability to accomplish" is "fatherly"? But mothers are out there teaching kids to rely on handouts? Also, what's with the parentheses around "poor"? Is that a disputed term? Are you saying that people who live below the poverty line are not poor? It's an objective fact that a higher percentage of black people live below the poverty line than whites.
And last, I'm sick of Republicans saying that "faceless bureaucrats" are making all these…Read More decisions. All bureaucrats do is carry out the laws. The stuff you're complaining about is in the law. If you want the laws changed, have a go at that. But leave the faceless bureaucrate out of it, because you're just creating a mythical villian to blame everything on. That will only distract from making true improvements to our government.
Camp was awesome. I am so glad we were able to go after the Cottage Grove Parade yesterday. My…Read More favorite moment was when we performed our Pageant Skit in front of everyone at camp. Thanks for all the great memories Hanna! Your BFF, Payton

I'm currently reading the sequel to The City of Ember, The People of Sparks by Jeanne DuPrau, it's…Read More part of a 4 book series. I would recommend that you read The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis I love it because it's so magical and you get to imagine almost the entire thing so clearly.
Hi Hanna!
Izzy, its is a "Blast" if you know what I mean. Every year on my birthday I…Read More have rode in the Eagan 4th of July Funfest Parade with my brother's Cub Scout Pack when I was younger and now with the Girl Scouts. I'm so excited and proud to be riding with the Eagan Ambassador's Program this year. How cool will that be? When is your birthday?
Just wanted to clarify that I am not an Ambassador but am an Ambassador Candidate for the 2013-14…Read More year. After rereading my post I realize it sounds like I am already an Ambassador, not true. Just a candidate for now. Thanks!
