Blotter: Drunk Driver Causes Scene at Taco Bell Drive-Through

Several burglary incidents were also recorded on the Eagan police reports for Feb. 9-14.

Feb. 9

8:08 a.m.—Eagan police responded to a local business on the 600 block of Opperman Dr. According to an employee: A client who was unhappy with a product told a customer service representative that he or she was going to hunt down the representative down and kill them "several times."

Feb. 10

12:46 a.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace incident on the 3300 block of Yankee Doodle Road. A man told police that he was upset at the stomping noises coming from a nearby apartment, and knocked at the neighbor's door, only to be met by a woman carrying a steak knife. The woman allegedly asked the man "What he was going to do about it?" Police spoke to the neighbors, who said she was holding a hockey stick, not a steak knife, when she came to the door. Police advised both groups not to contact each other.

9:13 a.m.—Police responded to a theft report on the 1400 block of Vince Trl. A person told police that a stereo had been removed from one of two unlocked vehicles in the victim's driveway. Police believe the theft may be related to others in the area over the last several weeks.

Feb. 11

2:11 a.m.—Police responded to a drunkenness call at the Taco Bell on Cliff Road. The caller, a store employee, reported that a drunk man driving a red GMC Envoy threw his drink at the drive-through window. The clerk tried to hold off giving the man his food and keep him at the restaurant, but eventually handed the food over. The clerk gave police  a direction of travel for the vehicle, and the man was later arrested.

1:11 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 2700 block of Pilot Knob Rd. A business owner told police that someone broke a window to enter the business and stole two computers and monitors. Police found a shoeprint at the scene, but no DNA evidence.

Feb. 12

1:40 a.m.—Police responded to an accident report on the 2000 block of Kings Rd. A caller told police that a Chevrolet truck with three people inside hit a tree and then struck his garage. All three occupants eventually bailed on foot from the vehicle. Police locked down Cedar Ave. to search for the suspects and called in a helicopter. At least one suspect was found and arrested, but denied driving the car and denied drinking.

8:01 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call at a local business on the 3800 block of Cedar Grove Parkway in Eagan. The caller told police a person was found passed out in a bathroom stall with what looked like a "crack pipe" on the ground. The caller also told police that there were several other people who "may be on something" at the business. Police responded and arrested one person for possession of cocaine.
