In a new series called DisPatches, Patch asks people all over the country how the American Dream is changing because of the trying economy.
Patch is launching a new series, and we need your help.
It's called "DisPatches: The Changing American Dream," and it will chronicle how the economy is changing people's everyday lives.
Every day the national media is full of stories of how people are adjusting to the economy. These are trying times. Debates about unemployment, foreclosures, debt, religion, government and private enterprise are taking place all the time.

So we want to know, Eagan, how do these issues affect you and your family?
At Patch, we think there isn't just one American Dream, but many. Across our almost 900 Patch sites, we see companies trying to figure out whether to expand, college graduates who can't find jobs, and senior citizens who can't pay their bills. But we also see new volunteer efforts, innovative businesses and citizens inspired to engage with their government. The economy is activating all kinds of change.
