Prolonged heat and humidity could be dangerous for Eagan residents.

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for Eagan, and prolonged heat and humidity could be dangerous for residents.

The heat and humidity is set to begin Sunday afternoon and will continue through Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Heat indices are expected to surpass 105 degrees for several hours at a time in the afternoon and early evening, with overnight lows reaching only 70s and 80s. This could create a dangerous situation, the weather service says, and they urge people to stay cool by drinking plenty of fluids, finding air-conditioned places in which to spend time, and staying out of the sun.
