Get Out This Weekend, Eagan

The weekend is quickly approaching and after a busy week, let's slow down and relax a bit this weekend.

Boogie at the annual big block party, enjoy a family fun night, celebrate the Booya! and learn to be green at the zoo.

When/Where: 5 p.m. Saturday; Faithful Shepherd Catholic School, Eagan

When/Where: 5:30 p.m. Friday; Faithful Shepherd Catholic School, Eagan

Why Go: Bring the kids for an evening full of games, music and activities for kids ages preschool through middle school, raffle food and beverages.

Pricing: $5/person or $20/family

When/Where: 8 a.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday; Towne & Country Shopping Center, Burnsville

Why Go: Check out creative recycling! More than 100 vendors will be on site selling their re-purposed items.

Pricing: Free

When/Where: 11 a.m. Saturday; Fire Station #1, Apple Valley

Why Go: Fire Station 1 will be wide open and the grounds full of activities, fun and games for the entire family.

Pricing: free admission, costs to purchase the Booya, Bingo cards, meat raffles, and some of the other food and activities.

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday; Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, St. Paul

Why Go: While enjoying the animals, visit stations along the paths and learn about environmental issues facing Minnesota. An interactive, educational, & fun family event that teaches all ages simple steps that can have a large impact on the environment and your finances.
