Support the Troops During Eagan 5K and Ice Cream Social
Scoops for Troops and the Tribute to the Troops 5K Run and 3K walk hit Eagan this weekend.
A family-friendly event will bring together civilians, veterans and military families on Sunday in Eagan.
The Scoops for Troops Ice Cream Social and Tribute to the Troops 5K Run and 3K Walk kicks off on Sunday, April 28 at Eagan's Central Park. Check in for the runs begins at 10:30 a.m., with a pre-event ceremony scheduled for noon. The 5K will start at 12:30 p.m., whith a 3K walk starting shortly thereafter.
The run will be immediately followed by the Scoops for Troops Ice Cream Social at Ring Mountain Creamery and Umbria Gourmet Pizzeria in Eagan. Celebrity ice cream scoopers include WCCO reporter Rachel Slavik and Eagan Mayor Mike Maguire.

From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. "The Voice" finalist Nicholas David will perform alongside radio host Brian Zepp.
