Wescott Library Hosts Workshop Exploring the Science Behind Common Inventions

Local science guru Jane Copes will lead the free event, which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6.

Learn about Minnesota inventions like magnetic poetry, rollerblades, Post-it notes, Scotchguard, M&Ms, and frozen pizza with local science guru Jane Copes.

Copes will tell tell stories that are not widely known about Minnesota inventions and inventors, including the importance of “mistakes” and experiments that don’t turn out the way we expect. The free event, hosted by in Eagan, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6.
