Eagan Tap Dancers Compete at Minnesota State Fair

A dozen dancers from the Pat Peare School of Dance in Eagan tap in the Minnesota State Fair Amateur Talent Competition.

A dozen members from the Pat Peare School of Dance and Stage Arts in Eagan gave a rousing tap dance performance in the Amateur Talent Competition at the Minnesota State Fair Saturday evening.

Unfortunately the team wasn't one of the two advancing to the finals of the teen division, but that didn't lessen their performance, said Tammy Nelson of the school.

"They did great," Nelson said. "There was lots of energy, lots of smiles. They were really happy to be here.

"I thought their ending was very strong," Nelson added. "I was very pleased with it."

The dancers had been working on this routine for almost a year.
