Minneapolis Trio Concert Debut

Don't miss the debut concert of the Minneapolis Trio featuring three of the Twin Cities most well-known musicians this Saturday.

Flutist and McKnight Fellowship Winner Linda Chatterton; SPCO Associate Principal Cellist Joshua Koestenbaum; and Pianist/Professor at Carleton College Matthew McCright will present their debut concert as a chamber group at 7:00pm Saturday, March 3, 2012 as part of the OPEN DOORS Music Series.

OPEN DOORS, an outreach ministry of Ss. Martha and Mary Episcopal Church, is in its fifth season of providing music to feed the hungry. Concerts are free and open to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted to support the important work of 360 Communities (www.360communities.org) as they combat hunger throughout Dakota County. (Suggested donation: $10)

Concertgoers also are asked to bring non-perishable items to help restock the 360 Communities food shelves.

This dynamic trio will perform the world premiere Chaconne and Toccata by of Ethan Wickman, music professor at the University of Wisconsin. You'll also enjoy dazzling trios for cello, flute and piano by Bohuslav Martinu and Norman Dello Joio, Belinda Reynolds' post-minimalist groove Cover, and the French inspired Neo-Baroque Concert Sonata by Jean Michel Damase.
