Eagan's Country Inn & Suites Under New Ownership

Expect major renovations soon at The Country Inn & Suites in Eagan, courtesy of a new owner that recently purchased the property.

The Lodging Opportunity Fund, LLLP., which has offices in Eden Prairie and Fargo, N.D., announced earlier this week that it has purchased the Eagan hotel for an undisclosed amount. The new owner has a number of upgrades in store for the property, including a complete remodel of the guest rooms with new carpet, lighting, flatscreen TVs and exterior upgrades.

The property, located along Hwy. 55 near Lone Oak Road, consists of 77 guest rooms. The location of the hotel, just eight miles from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and near a business cluster in northern Eagan, is "exceptional", Lodging Opportunity Fund officials wrote in a press release.

“We are proud to be part of the twin cities metropolitan area. The hotel’s location and brand affiliation, combined with the strong fundamentals with this great city make it an exceptional investment for the Fund," LOF President Norman Leslie said in the press release.

LOF is a private real estate fund formed to acquire quality hotel properties in strong and growing cities throughout the Midwest. The primary goal of LOF is to acquire severely depressed or poorly-managed properties from capital starved ownership and/or financial institutions.
