Planned MnDOT Road Projects May Impact Eagan Residents
Here's a look at how some Eagan roads will be affected this spring, summer and fall by Minnesota Department of Transportation road projects.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation on Thursday released its 2012 construction plan for Minnesota roads. The list includes six projects in or around Eagan that may have an impact on Eagan residents traveling in the area.
- Hwy. 13
Location: I-35W in Burnsville to Annapolis St. in West St Paul
Description: Resurface road, add turn lanes, improve drainage
Total Cost: $7.9 million
Date: May-Aug 2012
Impact: Lane closures, detours
- Interstate 35E
Location: Hwy. 110
Description: Resurface road, repair concrete and bridge decks
Total Cost: $1.5 million
Date: April-Aug 2012
Impact: Lane and ramp closures
- Interstate 35E
Location: Hwy. 110 east and west ramps
Description: Replace signals
Total Cost: $233,605
Date: Oct-Dec 2012
Impact: Short-term, non-rush hour lane closures
- Interstate 35E
Location: West side of I-35E north of Diffley Rd, Meadowlark Curve to Meadowlark Way in Eagan
Description: Install noise wall and drainage
Total Cost: $511,385
Date: April - July 2012
Impact: Short-term, non-rush hour ramp and shoulder closures
- Hwy. 77
Location: 138th St. in Apple Valley to Minnesota River
Description: Repair concrete, resurface road and upgrade guardrail
Total Cost: $7.5 million
Date: Aug-Nov 2012
Impact: Long-term lane and ramp closures
- Hwy. 3
Location: 194th St. W. in Empire Twp. to CP Rail bridge in Rosemount
Description: Replace drainage
Total Cost: $218.4 million
