Students rejoice!

School District 196 has cancelled classes district-wide on Tuesday, thanks to a snowstorm that blanketed the metro area with a thick layer of freshly fallen powder overnight.

The winter storm deposited as much as 7 inches of snow during the overnight hours in some Dakota County communities, according to the National Weather Service. The snow is expected to continue this morning, with totals in excess of 10 inches likely in some areas.
