Korea Business and Investment Seminar

The Dakota County Regional (DCR) Chamber of Commerce and Allthatstory America will be hosting an exporting seminar for businesses that may be interested in learning more about the Korean market on Thursday, July 24 at the Eagan Fire Safety Center. The event is sponsored by the Minnesota Trade office, in association with the KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) and includes a lunch hosted by Allthatstory America.

The seminar is supported by a variety of Korean experts, including the Department of Employment and Economic Development, 3M, and KOTRA. The event is designed to assist American enterprises to invest or export in Korea in accordance with the U.S. entrepreneurs’ Go Abroad Strategy, formally known as the U.S - Korea Free Trade Agreement made on March 15, 2012.

This process can provide countless new opportunities for U.S. exporters to sell more made-in-America goods, services and agricultural products to Korean customers. The seminar will expose business owners and interested enterprises to the Korea trade opportunities available, as well as detailing how those opportunities could help their businesses. Following the seminar, there will be an opportunity to obtain more detailed information on specific investment programs through private meetings with the specialists.

In line with the trade and investment promotion policies carried out by South Korea, this seminar will help awaken an interest in the official and business sector of this important Minnesota region and engage in a search for the business opportunities existing in both Minnesota and Korea through the Minnesota Trade Office of mission in Seoul.  Korea is currently U.S.’s 7th largest good trading partner with $100 billion in total goods during 2011.
