I've been involved with Eagan's July 4th Funfest in one way or another for more than 10 years. It is Eagan's largest community event by far. (Full disclosure: I am responsible for sponsors) Yet, many people haven't ever attended or participated even though they live in Eagan.
So what are the highlights you ask? Start with a carnival, add entertainment for 3 nights, Texas holdem, royalty, button with coupon booklet, lots of food and a beer garden. Then add a parade that includes more than 100 units that lasts 2 hours and kids come home with lots of cand. Finally top it off with the LARGEST FIREWORKS DISPLAY in the region on the 4th of July. That is one great event. If you haven't checked it out I highly recommend doing so. Try it--you'll like it.
