Blotter: Clerk Intercepts Drugs Mailed to Guest Staying at Eagan Hotel

Eagan police also responded to a report of a robbery at the intersection of Opal and Topaz Drives, according to the most recent police reports.

3:38 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a harassment incident that occurred on the 1100 block of Duckwood Trl. The reporting party told police that a woman called her and told the victim she would hire people to kill her.

6:04 p.m.—Police responded to a theft call at Metcalf Jr. High School. The reporting party told police an iPad was stolen from a locker the previous Tuesday.

7:12 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic call on the 4600 block of Slater Rd. The caller, a woman who had locked herself in the bathroom, told police a male attempted to hit her. The woman also claimed the male was involved in "black voodoo magic".

Nov. 24

11:50 a.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call at the Best Western on Yankee Doodle Road. The reporting party told police that a box was delivered for a guest staying at the hotel. The box was very tall and unusual, and had a plant leaf sticking out of it. Police inspected the box, and cited the recipient for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Nov. 25

10:41 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call at the Walmart at 1360 Town Centre Drive in Eagan. A loss prevention officer told police he had surveillance footage of at least four computers being stolen from the store in the past week.

9:18 p.m.—Police responded to a medical call on the 1100 block of Duckwood Trl. The caller told police a 34-year-old female had intentionally overdosed on pain medication and was unconscious. The woman was taken to Regions Hospital.

Nov. 26

8:15 a.m.—Police responded to the Burnsville Area Alternative High School on a warrant call. The reporting party told police a student at the school was telling other classmates he had a warrant out for his arrest. Police arrested the youth and verified that he did have an outstanding warrant. Officers found a knife on the student, and the man will face additional felony charges related to the weapon.

12:34 p.m.—Police responded to a robbery call at the intersection of Opal and Topaz Drives in Eagan. The caller told police he witnessed a teenager grab a woman's wallet and diaper bag and start running. The suspect, who was the father of the female victim's child, was apprehended by police and will be charged with robbery and violating a previous parole condition.

5:03 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic on the 3800 block of Ballantrae Rd. The caller, a woman, told officers her husband threw hot food on her and burned her over an argument about the woman changing her cell phone password.

6:43 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 4500 block of Slater Rd. The reporting party, calling on behalf of two parents who don't speak English, told police that the parents' 13-year-old daughter had sent nude pictures to someone else via the Internet.
