Blotter: Man Threatens to Blow Up McDonald's in Eagan

Eagan police also responded to several assault and theft calls, according to the most recent police reports.

Dec. 17

10:42 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 3000 block of Ames Crossing Rd. The caller told police her car window was smashed out and someone had taken a purse from the front seat. The victim also told officers that she leaves her purse in plain view on the front seat all the time because that's the "safest place" to leave it.

4:36 p.m.—Police responded to a fight call on the 3900 block of Beryl Rd. The caller told police two men were physically fighting in a group home and staff were unable to break them up. Police cited both for disorderly conduct.

6:02 p.m.—Police responded to Cedarvale Lanes on an assault call. The caller told police a female pushed a male off a stool at the business and kicked him and threw a pop at him. Police cited the suspect for disorderly conduct.

6:18 p.m.—Police responded to Kohl's Department Store in Eagan on a suspicious person call. Police checked out a suspicious vehicle in the store parking lot, and discovered that both the driver and passenger were in possession of methamphetamine. Police also cited a second passenger, who was in the store stealing items.

8:17 p.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call on the 3300 block of River Bluff Dr. The caller told police that a 14-year-old boy, upset that he had to share Christmas cookies, flew into a rage and was asked to leave the home. The boy returned 30 minutes later, kicked down the door, and asked his mother where his 10-month-old brother was. The mother believed the teenager was going to punch the baby. The boy was arrested and transported to a detention center.

 Dec. 18

2:41 p.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking call at the McDonalds on Silver Bell Road in Eagan. The caller told police that an employee threatened to blow up the restaurant. Police cited the man for terroristic threats.

Dec. 19

11:17 a.m.—Police responded to a fraud call at the Kohl's Department Store in Eagan. The caller told police that friend stole three credit cards from the caller's grandmother—including a Kohl's card—and used them at the Eagan Kohl's. The "friend" also stole $500 in cash from the caller's grandmother, according to the caller.

12:36 p.m.—Police responded to an assault call at The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage Alternative High School in Eagan.

4:38 p.m.—Police responded to the Cub Foods on Cliff Lake Road in Eagan. The caller told police two male shoplifters took over $500 of DVDs, but dropped most of the items when pursued by store security.
