Blotter: Woman Transported to Hospital with .46 Blood-Alcohol Level

Eagan police responded to series of burglary and vandalism calls at the tail end of July, according to recent police reports.

July 19

10:41 a.m.—Police responded to a theft report at in Eagan. According to the report, eight jugs of apple juice, 250 cups, five bags of popped popcorn and a bin of equipment were taken from a storage at the park.

11 a.m.—Police responded to a damage to property report on the 4200 block of Lexington Ave. According to the report, graffiti had been sprayed on a strip mall building, causing $600 in damages.

4:48 p.m.—Police responded to a personal injury accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of Lone Oak Road and Pilot Knob Road in Eagan. The accident involved two vehicles, and left one driver with an arm injury. One vehicle sustained heavy damage in the accident, according to a witness. One driver was cited for not having insurance anad innattentive driving.

5:47 p.m.—Police responded to a harassing communications call on the 3500 block of Birchpond Rd. The caller told police that he had an ongoing fued with his neighbor, and that he caught the neighbor on video using a lawn mower to scalp the grass in the victim's yard.

July 20

12:03 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 3100 block of Coachman Rd. The caller told police that the appliances had been stolen from her former residence.

3:01 p.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call on the 3100 block of Dodd Rd. The caller told police he was using the bathroom at a business when another man began pounding on the stall door. The reporting party told police he got off the toilet and asked "What?", at which point the man told him the bathroom wasn't a "chat room" and shoved him. Police spoke with both men, and advised them to keep their distance. The suspect told police he was mad because the victim was using the phone while on the toilet.

July 21

1:39 a.m.—Police responded to an assault call at a business on the 1400 block of Yankee Doodle Rd. The reporting party, who was intoxicated, told police he was at a bar when an unknown woman came up and hit him across the face with an ashtray cover, leaving him bleeding with a ripped shirt and broken glasses. The reporting party, who left the bar and returned home, refused medical attention.

11:33 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic on the 4300 block of Clemson Cir. The caller told police that a male at a nearby residence was apparently yelling at a woman. The neighbor told police the couple fought frequently, but that the man was also known to yell and scream at the woman even when she wasn't home. Upon arrival at the residence, police found the man passed out in the entry way to his garage. The woman wasn't at the residence—police learned the man had been yelling at himself. The man was transported to Regions Hospital.

July 22

2:13 a.m.—Police responded to a damage to property call on the 4600 block of Bristol Blvd. The homeowners told police somebody had just vandalized their home by turning on a water hose and putting it in their screen door. The vandals also left their son's bike on top of a basketball hoop.

8:36 a.m.—Police returned to the 4700 block of Bristol Blvd. for further damage to property reports. Area residents told police that plants had been torn up, lights spray painted and homes damaged. The victims requested extra police patrols in the area.

8:01 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 1600 block of Blackhawk Lake Dr. The caller told police that a TV, iPod and prescription drugs were stolen from the home and that someone had gone through the residence.

July 23

3:55 p.m.—Police responded to a criminal sexual conduct call at an address on Wescott Square. The female victim told police she was sexually assaulted the previous night by a teenage male.

4:53 p.m.—Police responded to a drunkenness call on the 3900 block of Worchester Dr. The caller reported his wife was extremely intoxicated and that he was unable to care for her. The woman was taken to United Hospital after police administered a blood-alcohol level test and discovered that her blood-alcohol level was .46.

8 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic on the 3900 block of Palisade Way. The caller told police her husband threw a remote control at their 12-year-old child, then threw a suitcase at their 4-year-old child. Police transported the man to jail.

July 24

8:23 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary report on the 1800 block of Red Fox Rd. in Eagan. The caller told police that someone broke in overnight and stole an iPad, iPhone and bag while the homeowners were at home.

11:26 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary on the 1800 block of Jourdan Ct. The caller told police a TV was taken overnight, while the victim was at home. Police couldn't find any sign of forced entry.

July 25

12:18 a.m.—Police responded to a criminal sexual conduct call at an address on Tamie Ave. The caller, a father, told police his teenage daughter had been raped, and that the incident took place in Bloomington. The parents also told police that she knew the male who assaulted her. The victim was transported to Fairview Ridges Hospital.
