Eagan Police Issue Crime Alert on Vehicle Break-Ins

The Eagan Police Department recently received over 20 reports of theft from vehicles in one night.

The Eagan Police Department received 25 reports of vehicle break-ins during the overnight hours between Oct. 29 and Oct. 30, the department announced in a crime alert.

The crimes occurred mostly in the areas around the intersections of:

  • Yankee Doodle Road and Federal Drive
  • Pilot Knob Road and Crestridge Lane
  • Pilot Knob Rod and Diffley Road

According to the alert:

In the majority of the cases, windows were shattered where property such as sunglasses, tools, and electronics were stolen. In some of the cases, citizens reported hearing glass breaking, but didn’t observe anyone in the area. It is believed the perpetrator(s) acted very quickly.

Eagan Police ask residents to call 911 if they see anything suspicious or "out of the ordinary."
