Police Find Assortment of Drugs During Traffic Stop; Eagan Police Blotter

In a separate incident, officers responded to a vandalism call at Rahn Elementary in Eagan.

Police found a large baggy of meth and multiple pills on a male suspect after officers stopped a vehicle with two occupants inside at 12:06 a.m. on March. 13. One of the two occupants had an outstanding warrant for possession of methamphetamine.

A female occupant in the vehicle also gave police permission to search a nearby hotel room in Eagan. Officers found check-writing instruments along with printer stock at the hotel room.

March 8

3:30 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary on the 2000 block of Silver Bell Rd. A storage locker was broken into, and bolt cutters left at the scene.

5:50 p.m.—Police responded to a criminal sexual conduct call at a restaurant on the 1300 block of Town Centre Dr. A female employee told police another male employee bear-hugged and groped her as she was exiting the bathroom.

March 9

12:44 a.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 3200 block of Borchert Ln. Police found a vehicle parked at a park after hours, and found a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle. The driver was cited.

3:10 p.m.—Police responded to a pharmacy on the 2000 block of Cliff Rd. The caller told police a customer tried to pass a fraudulent prescription for oxycontin today. The caller had a hard copy of of the suspect's ID and a photo of the suspect.

March 10

11:09 a.m.—Police responded to a check welfare call on the 3000 block of Denmark Ave. The caller told police he found an incoherent man and a bottle of Smirnoff liquor in a hallway and helped him back to his room. The man was eventually transported to a hospital after police determined he had a .33 blood-alcohol level.

March 11

12:02 a.m.—Police responded to a restaurant on the 4100 block of Robert Trl. S. The caller told officers that five men were outside yelling and pushing each other. Police cited two for disorderly conduct and transported one man to detox.

7:18 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 3200 block of Aspen Ct. Three construction trailers were ransacked, and large amounts of copper wire, fittings and water meters taken.

9:06 a.m.—Police responded to an assault call on the 4500 block of Slater Rd. The caller, a 34-year-old woman, told police she had back pain as the result of being "jumped" by two people two days previously. The woman was transported to the hospital, and refused to press charges.

6:56 p.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call at a nursing home on the 3800 block of Blackhawk Ridge Pl. The caller, a staff member, told police an 84-year-old male was "out of control," was attempting to punch the two female staff members on duty that night and was overheard sawing "Somebody get me a gun." Police eventually handcuffed the man and transported him to United Hospital.

March 12

8:51 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary on the 4600 block of Parkridge Dr. The caller told police someone broke into a garage overnight.

11:28 a.m.—Police responded to Pilot Knob STEM Magnet School on reports of a theft. The caller told police that someone took a camera and lens valued at over $1,000.

March 13

10:09 a.m.—Police responded to a damage to property call at Rahn Elementary in Eagan. The caller, a school administrator, told officers that someone had vandalized the school overnight. The reporting party believed the damage was related to three recent trespassing incdents.
