Council Preview: A New Finance Director, and a Reorganized Department?

Eagan's City Council may also adopt 'performance benchmarks.'

 

The Eagan City Council will convene at 6:30 p.m. today at  to hold a regular meeting. Among the items to be discussed:

  • A reorganization of the city's finance department. The current director of administrative services has announced his retirement, and under a proposed restructuring, the position will be reclassified to finance director.
  • The adoption of certain "performance benchmarks," on which city residents will be surveyed at the end of each calendar year.
  • The adoption of a "joint powers agreement" with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, enabling the city's prosecuting attorney to access criminal justice data.
