Digital Billboard, Lockheed Martin Site Top Council Agenda

The Eagan City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.

The Eagan City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday night at the Eagan City Hall. In advance of the meeting, Patch has highlighted several items on the council's agenda. To view the full agenda, click here.

  • is requesting a conditional use permit for a 20-foot-tall dynamic display billboard at 2750 Sibley Memorial Highway. The billboard would have 80 square feet of sign area, much of which would be dedicated to a static business display. The digital portion of the sign would be 30 square feet in area. City staff say the sign meets ordinance standards for dynamic signs.
  • Earlier this year, the Met Council gave city officials the OK to change the zoning of 41.2 acres of the Lockheed Martin site off Pilot Knob Road in Eagan from major office to retail commercial. Now, the developer that owns the site is asking the council to change the zoning of the remaining 6.2 acres of the 47.4-acre site to retail commercial. The council is expected to vote on the request on Tuesday night.
  • owner Tony Donatell has asked the Eagan City Council for a conditional use permit that would allow him to install a temporary grill for seasonal outdoor sales on his property at 1286 Lone Oak Rd. in Eagan. The grill would be placed in a parking lot outside the convenience store, according to plans submitted to the city. The outdoor sale would start in June and run through August.
