Get Jobs Job Fair Set for March 29


ST. PAUL – Job seekers can meet potential employers, learn job-search strategies, and attend workshops and seminars during the annual Get Jobs Job Fair in Eagan on Thursday, March 29.

The job fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eagan Civic Arena, 3870 Pilot Knob Road. More than 60 exhibitors will participate, including businesses and organizations with job openings and educational institutions that offer training programs.

“This annual event is one of the largest in the Twin Cities and offers a terrific opportunity for people to find jobs,” said Mark Phillips, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). “Employers will be recruiting for hundreds of jobs, from entry-level to professional positions.”

Companies that will be exhibiting at this year’s event include Goodrich, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Comcast and many more.

Participants can attend free workshops and seminars throughout the day to help them improve their interviewing abilities, learn new job-search techniques and brush up other skills.

Free shuttle buses will be available to and from the job fair and WorkForce Centers in Burnsville, Shakopee and West St. Paul. Sign language, Hmong, Somali and Spanish interpreters also will be available.

The event is sponsored by the Dakota and Scott County WorkForce Centers, the Dakota/Scott County Workforce Investment Board and MinnesotaWorks.net.
