The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be installing pedestrian ramps and accessible pedestrian signals at a number of sites in Eagan and Rosemount.

Pedestrians and motorists can expect delays due to a series of street and sidewalk accessibility projects set to begin this week.

The improvements will take place at the following locations and may include non-rush hour lane and sidewalk closures:

  • Highway 3 at County Road 30 (Diffley Road) in Eagan
  • Highway 55 at General Sieben Drive in Hastings
  • Highway 149 (Dodd Road) at Opperman Drive in Eagan
  • Highway 3 at Connemara Trail in Eagan
  • Highway 3 at County Road 42 in Rosemount

The projects, which started on April 16, will consist of installing new pedestrian ramps and accessible pedestrian signals for pedestrians with hearing or sight impairments, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The projects should be completed by Friday, May 18.
