State officials are spending $11.4 million to rehabilitate a long stretch of Hwy. 13 this year.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has closed Hwy. 13 in Eagan between Pilot Knob Road and Yankee Doodle Road through June 22.

The closure is part of a larger resurfacing project stretching from Burnsville to West St. Paul. State officials will spend $11.4 million to rehabilitate a long stretch of Hwy. 13, with an anticipated completion date of Aug. 31.

Once completed, Highway 13 will boast a smoother, longer-lasting asphalt surface, new pedestrian crossings that are handicapped-accessible, new curb and gutter and better drainage.
