Name: Danielle Donahue
Grade: Senior
Sport: Girls Tennis
Strengths: For six years, Danielle Donahue has played on the Eagan High School girls tennis team, and in that time, she's won five team MVP awards and qualified for four state tournaments. So it's no surprise that Coach Scott Nichols expects big things once again from Donahue, who will return to play first singles again this year.

Last year, Donahue was 16-4 during the regular season and 3-1 in section play. This summer, the tennis star honed her skills with help from a Division I player from DePaul University.

“She has the overall game and she is a complete player," Nichols said. "She can play the net, she serves well, she’s definitely a Division I player."

Name: Anusha Arcalgud
Grade: Freshman
Sport: Girls Tennis
Strengths: A rising power on the girls tennis team, Anusha Arcalgud went 16-4 in the regular season and 1-1 in sections playing in the third and fourth singles positions last season. A baseline player with a lot of power, Arcalgud may be one of the top ten players in the section, according to Coach Scott Nichols. Her skills will be needed as she squares off against many older, more experienced opponents this year as the team's second singles player.

"She’s not really tall, but she has great ground strokes aon the forehand and backhand sides," said Nichols.
